The story of Fossil Blu fireclay sinks begins with the clay quarry. Extraction techniques in clay quarries has changed very little during the last century, so in terms of mineral purity, what matters most is selecting the correct locations to dig. As such, Fossil Blu sources its fireclay base material exclusively from Italy, France, and Israel, where the purest white clay is found.

SOLID ULTRA-FINE FIRECLAY SINK: Starting with ultra-fine fireclay mined from quarries across Italy, France, Turkey, and Israel, Fossil Blu fireclay sinks are first compression molded to make sure 90-degree walls and corners. Next, true to ancient, proven techniques, every sink is then low-fired and hand-glazed with our proprietary silica glaze. Following this, sinks are high-fired at over 2000 degrees (F) for 16 hours, creating an ultra-hard, smooth, non-porous, heat and damage resistant material.
ACCESSORIES: Fossil Blu Fireclay sinks are DISPOSAL READY with included 304 stainless extended (extra depth) disposal flange and stopper. For those not installing a disposal, two 304 stainless modern style drains are included. Also included with every sink are two CUSTOM-FITTED luxury 304 stainless basin racks (sink grids) capable of supporting up to 200 LBS of dishes.
